Hallmark President and CEO Joe Fisher Joins The Dee Howard Foundation’s Board of Directors

President Fisher brings nearly thirty years of experience in higher education and training aircraft technicians for the aviation industry, which will assist the foundation in supporting San Antonio’s aviation industry.

The Dee Howard Foundation was founded in memory of San Antonio’s legendary pioneer Dee Howard. Dee designed aircraft and groundbreaking technology that made the entire aviation industry not only more efficient but safer as well. Forming a close friendship while serving as his legal counsel, Wayne Fagan witnessed Dee’s passion for innovation within aviation as The Dee Howard Co. grew over the years.

Durrell U. “Dee” Howard“I first met Dee in 1970 when The Dee Howard Co. had seventy-five employees in one hangar at the San Antonio International Airport,” shared Wayne Fagan, Co-Founder and Chair of The Dee Howard Foundation. “I watched over the years as Dee grew his company to over 1,500 employees and 750,000 square feet of buildings.”

New aircraft, engine designs, and safety features made their mark on the aviation industry through The Dee Howard Co., laying down the legendary pioneer’s legacy. As the innovation continued through the years, Hallmark University found itself a constant provider of new Aircraft Technicians that helped the company thrive.

“Hallmark University was a go-to provider of skilled workers for The Dee Howard Co. over the years, and The Dee Howard Foundation is honored to have its President Joe Fisher carry on the Hallmark-Dee Howard legacy by having him serve on the Board of Directors.”

Since its inception, Hallmark University has worked closely with The Dee Howard Foundation, supporting its mission by training skilled Aircraft Technicians and developing programs that enhance San Antonio’s status as a leader of the aviation industry. President Fisher’s appointment to the Board of Directors will further support the foundation by providing insight from a leader of higher education who has focused much of his career on developing a capable workforce for San Antonio’s largest industries.
