Hallmark University Co-Sponsors Tribute to Women Business Leaders Mixer

San Antonio, Texas – June 8, 2017 – The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and Ford Motor Company recently held two events in honor of San Antonio women business leaders. The first, which took place on May 8th at the Witte Museum in San Antonio, Texas, was the Tribute Mixer. This event, sponsored by Hallmark University, was held to celebrate the winners of this year’s Tribute to Women Business Leaders Awards. The second, which took place on June 6 at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas, was the Tribute to Women Business Leaders Awards Ceremony.

At both events, women business leaders from multiple San Antonio based organizations were honored for their accomplishments.

According to the SA Chamber website, each year the SA Chamber and Ford Motor Company “honor women leaders who are making a difference in San Antonio with our Tribute to Women Business Leaders Awards.” This year’s honorees, the organizations they represent, and their awards were:

  • Linda Hummel, CEO, SWBC Employee Benefits Group – Executive Award for Large Business
  • Christy Prescott, CEO, Corporate Travel Planners – Brenda Vickery Johnson Award for Small Business
  • Amy Palmer, President and CEO, Soldier’s Angels – Freedom Award
  • Heather Angel Chandler, President and CEO, Innovative Multimedia Group – Promise Award
  • Susan Naylor, Founder and President, The Will Smith Foundation – Hope Award
  • Laura Vaccaro, Vice President of Community Relations and Events, Valero- Hope Award
  • Aaronetta Hamilton Pierce, Civic and Community Leader – Legacy Award

The SA Chamber website further states, “We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of a select group of local women business leaders who drive success in their professions, their community, and the lives of others.”  In addition to receiving recognition, each honoree was given the opportunity to choose any college or university to which a $1,000 scholarship would be donated in her name.

Rebecca Wadler, Dean of Academics for Hallmark University and attendee of the event, stated, “I think it’s great to show support for the outstanding community of women business leaders we have in San Antonio. We look forward to further supporting this community, and all that it brings to our city.”
