Student Affairs is home to Student Services, Career Placement Services and Repayment Management Services. Together these areas help our students overcome obstacles they may encounter while enrolled at Hallmark University that might hamper their success.
From the first day of class, Student Affairs maintains accountability of our students through attendance verification and builds strong relationships with our student body to become familiar with their individual needs and, if required, effectively locate resources for them to ensure their collegiate success.
During the first term, students take the initial resume workshop where they begin to learn how to build and maintain their professional resumes. At this time, we do an introductory course in financial literacy to help our students begin to think about how to effectively budget their finances. In the middle of their academic career, our students attend a networking and interview workshop where they are taken through a series of videos on the latest trends in industry. Finally, two terms prior to the student’s program completion, a final review of their resume is done in our Classroom to Career Workshop (C2C). In this workshop, we assist the student on the different ways to post their resumes, interview for professional careers, and provide them with other tools that prove effective in industry. Exit interviews are conducted at this time.
Daily, our Student Affairs’ team diligently works with industry leaders to assist the student in securing employment after they graduate with a department goal of 90% placement within 90 days after graduation.
Students get job assistance, resume assistance and other help to prepare them for their career from the moment they step on campus until after they graduate. Student Affairs organizes Orientation, Student Graduation and other events on campus that create a healthy and fun student life.
CAREER SERVICES is responsible for student professional development through various workshops and seminars to ensure our students have strong resume writing skills, networking and interviewing skills and understand the transition from being a student to a professional.
Mandatory workshops include: Resume writing (a resume is graded and kept on file for future job referrals), networking and interview skills workshop, and a Classroom to Career Transition Workshop. These workshops are scheduled throughout the enrollment but are available during specific times within specific programs. All students, regardless of career path, must attend these workshops and complete a detailed EXIT interview prior to qualifying for graduation.
REPAYMENT MANAGEMENT ensures that our students complete a Financial Literacy course to enable them to understand credit scores, default management and budgeting. We feel this will empower our students to be responsible with the management of their federal student loans. We remain available as a constant resource for our student body.
