What is #GivingTuesday?
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday marks the beginning of the charitable season during a time when many focus on holiday and end-of-year charitable giving. Since its inception in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a global movement adopted by individuals, corporations, nonprofits, and small businesses to celebrate and support charitable acts and events throughout the year. To date, this annual drive has generated over $300,000,000 in donations, scholarships, and acts of kindness.
How is Hallmark University getting involved?
To create more opportunities for anyone to receive a higher education, every donation we receive for #GivingTuesday will be matched and put towards student programs and scholarships. Every student that walks through our doors is provided with the foundation to succeed for the rest of their lives, and we intend to provide this chance to more people.
Hallmark University’s $5K Match Initiative
Hallmark University is committing to a match fund initiative. For every dollar you donate, your contribution will be matched up to $5,000. This means that each dollar you give will be doubled, creating more opportunities and scholarships for those looking to receive a higher education at Hallmark University.
How to Give
#GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, meaning it will fall on November 27th this year. On this day, millions of people visit the donation pages of participants and donate to the charity of their choosing. For Hallmark University, we have three individuals that we call “Champions of Change” for their commitment to changing the lives of our students.
