Dr. Gabriel Oluwakotanmi Traveled to Rome to Give a Presentation to the World Nursing Experts

Hallmark University’s Dr. Gabriel Oluwakotanmi traveled to Rome as a keynote speaker for the 3rd Nursing World Conference this last week. Attendees for the conference comprised of the world’s leading nursing professionals and experts, with guests traveling to Rome from different countries around the globe. Dr. Oluwakotanmi gave a presentation on running a successful nursing program, namely Hallmark University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

“I identified the seven major factors that hamper a successful nursing program… and it is exciting because everything that we are doing at Hallmark University is evidence-based, and can be related to the world.” Said Dr. Gabriel Oluwakotanmi. “Our story is unique, and it struck a chord among the audience.”

Dr. Gabriel Oluwakotanmi speaking at the 3rd Nursing World ConferenceThe Nursing World Conference gathers researchers, practitioners, and educators from around the world to exchange research evidence, practical experiences, and innovative ideas on issues related to nursing and healthcare. Dr. Gabriel Oluwakotanmi traveled to the event to share his experience and methods of overcoming roadblocks in the field of nursing education. His practices have resulted in Hallmark University’s high first time NCLEX pass rates, which are often used as a measure for the quality of an institution’s nursing program.

“After I finished my presentation, these experts from across the world began openly asking me questions. They passed around microphones and stated where they were from, and would mention how they were appreciative that I had opened their eyes with this speech. And I never really knew that these problems are universal in nursing education. Every single person there said they could relate to the difficulty of running a successful nursing program, and asked how I ran Hallmarks’. I feel very honored by this experience.”

Students recently began their first classes for Hallmark University’s new BSN program this last month, which aims to assist the United States to combat a national shortage of trained nurses that is handicapping our healthcare system. Dr. Oluwakotanmi’s leadership and guidance in this program will produce extremely knowledgeable and skilled nurses in the San Antonio community in less than three years.
