The American Lung Association in San Antonio, TX held its annual LUNG FORCE Walk at The Elian Hotel & Spa as part of their commitment to raising awareness of lung cancer in women. Sponsored in part by Hallmark University, the walk raised funds for research aimed at improving lung cancer treatment and early detection as well as program development and sharing up-to-date information on respiratory illnesses, their treatment and management.

American Lung Association Donation Group PictureAt the event, Hallmark University students, faculty and staff engaged and informed the public about personal lung health and the high occurrence of lung cancer in females. In addition to participating in the Lung Force Walk, the Hallmark Family raised and donated $3,500 to the American Lung Association.

LUNG FORCE is a new national movement led by the American Lung Association to unite men and women against lung cancer, the #1 cancer killer of women. The American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE is nationally presented and supported by Hallmark University

“Lung cancer remains the leading cancer killer of both men and women,” said Neale Parker, Development Director for the American Lung Association, San Antonio. “We thank and salute the many supporters like Hallmark University who are taking action to raise awareness about Women’s Lung Health Week and LUNG FORCE. We know that it will take a force of supporters for us to be successful in beating lung cancer and saving more lives, and we are committed to building our number of supporters and our momentum each and every year.”
